Carinthia - the land of lakes

Carinthia is known for its bathing lakes with crystal clear water – and there are a lot!
The southern position makes the lakes among the warmest in the entire Alpine region, with a temperature up to 28 degrees in summer.

Probably the most famous lake is lake “Wörthersee”. A place for chillers and epicures. Many great restaurants, that serve Mediterranean cuisine directly at the lake side await you there. Several social events and parties provide for a fun summer.
Within approx. 50 minutes of drive, you can get an idea for yourself.

You can reach Lake Millstätter See in only 30 min by car. Spend a relaxing day at the lake or discover the nice routes just next to the lake – either by bike or by foot.
The “Love-Trail”, for example, is a romantic tour, with features three inspiring hours and seven spots inviting hikers to pause.
Maybe you’ll find answers to the questions “What is love?” or “What gives it strength?”.

A smaller alternative to those lakes could be Lake Ossiacher See or just Lake Maltschacher See.
Both perfect for families with kids and only half an hour drive away.
